PROFITABLE PRAYER & FASTING

 


Fasting is denial of self in every form such as food, power, glory and pleasure to seek the face of God for a specific purpose or reasons. It is the motification of the flesh to empower the human spirit for revelation and guidance. 

Fasting can be done at anytime as led by God's Spirit or as directed or instructed by a spiritual authority. 

The major essence of fasting is to help the believer enhance his spiritual antennae to connect with his Father in order to receive heaven's signal for his advancement in life, family, business and plans. 

There are prayers that won't be heard by God for answers to be delivered except they are done with fasting. This is because fasting increases the spiritual strength of the one who engages in it for speedy delivery of solutions to humanity.

Prayer is lifting our hearts to God in worship/petition. When we pray we commune with the Father. Prayer is our access to the Father of lights in whom there's no variableness, who gives to all liberally and does not hold back. It is on the burning altar of prayer that will get our petitions (requests/appeal) granted. 

Prayer is an integral part of the life of the believer, without which there is no relationship between son (god) and Father (God). No true child of God can live successfully on the earth without this relationship which can only be accessed and expressed on the altar of prayer.

PROFITABLE PRAYER & FASTING

(Things to do when engaging in fasting and prayer to see great results) 


1. With a NOTEPAD and a PEN ... Write down what you intend to achieve with the fast. *PURPOSE* Habb 2:1-2


2. Ensure you DEFINE PRAYER TIMES within the fast and stick to them UNDISTRACTED by noise, TV and food or other pleasures of the flesh. Luke 5:16


3. Ensure the PRAYERS points are in sync with the PURPOSE of the fast so you are on course and focused. 1 Cor. 14:40


4. Study SCRIPTURES that back your PETITION in line with the purpose of your fast so you can UNDERSTAND the mind of God and also receive revelation from God's spirit in line with your prayer point. Rom 8:27, Rom 12:2


5. Set time to MEDITATE after each word study and make scriptural DECLARATIONS after each meditation. Josh 1:8, Ps. 1:2-3, 2 Cor. 3:18


6. Find time to SLEEP within the fast as most times, revelations and visions will come to you in dreams. DOCUMENT every vision or instruction on the same note pad as you awake, if any. Job 4:13, Job 33:15


7. PRAISE God in advance before and after each prayer time for GRANTING your prayer request and helping you fulfill the purpose for the fast. Acts 16:25, Jer. 30:19, Rom 4:20
